Positioning: Teracota Mediaș stands as the last remaining manufacturer of hand-painted ceramic stoves in Transylvania. A symbol of craftsmanship and cultural preservation, the brand bridges centuries of artisanal tradition with a renewed contemporary relevance—producing both functional and decorative ceramic tiles that embody authenticity, heritage, and artistic expression.
Context: Founded in 1906, Teracota Mediaș is deeply rooted in Transylvania’s cultural and architectural history. Using time-honored techniques and handmade processes, it remains the only manufacturer in Romania capable of restoring historic stoves and reproducing traditional molds. The rebranding aimed to reinforce Teracota’s legacy while positioning it prominently in today’s cultural landscape—highlighting its role not only as a producer, but as a guardian of heritage and a beacon of Romanian artisanal excellence.
